Mike i lived and worked in Java for three years in the late '90's. The local cuisine is rather 'hot' for our Kiwi palate, but one becomes accustomed to it and enjoys it after a 'settling in period'. i have always cooked and Fried Rice was one of the family staples in NZ. the Indonesian version is much spicier though and i came to enjoy it very much. i could never get the flavour right when trying to recreate it but have now been transported back to Java with the Nasi Goring spice mix. thankyou Kiwi Spices, thankyou, thankyou.
