Have you tried our Souvlaki Seasoning?
This has always been a go to in our household as a sprinkle for tomatoes on toast with vegemite or avocado. We also use it to flavour our Tomato Soup in winter. So versatile and delicious!
This week I followed our recipe using Venison Steak and Farrah's Garden Spinach Wraps fried in a little Kiwi Spices Black Truffle Oil until they were golden and puffed up. WOW it was amazing, I'm hooked and will be doing this again and again!
Kiwi Spices Recipe
- 500g Lamb or meat of your choice
- 1/4 Cup Olive Oil
- Juice of 1 Lemon
- 2 tbsp Kiwi Spices Souvlaki Seasoning
- 4-5 Small Pita Breads (or try Farrah's Wraps fried in a little Truffle Oil until golden and puffed)
- 1/2 cup Tzatziki
- Salad leaves
- Cucumber
- Tomato wedges
Mix your cubed meat with lemon juice and Souvlaki Seasoning in a bowl and marinate for 2-3 hours in the fridge. Remove meat and thread onto skewers, heat the BBQ grill to very hot and cook to your liking.
Serve with warm pita bread, salad and lashings of Tzatziki.
Tzatziki
- 1-2 cloves garlic finely chopped
- 60g Greek Yoghurt
- 2 tbsp grated cucumber
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt to taste
Mix all together - easy as that.
